Make ahead smoothies

Immune booster green smoothie.
1 banana (chopped)
1 cup spinach or kale
1 apple (chopped)
1 inch knob ginger (chopped)
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
For serving: 1/2 cup almond milk + 1/2 cup greek yogurt (non-fat)
Chocolate protein power smoothie.
1 banana (chopped)
2 tbsp cacao powder
2 tbsp peanut butter
2 tbsp ground flaxseed
For serving: 1/2 cup almond mlk + 1/2 cup greek yogurt (non-fat)
Acai berry smoothie.
1 banana (chopped)
1 cup frozen berries
1 frozen acai pack (you can find these at Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, or Target)
1 tbsp chia seeds
For serving: 1/2 cup almond milk + 1/2 cup greek yogurt (non-fat)
Instructions.
Meal prep: Prep and add all raw ingredients (except milk and yogurt) to a reusable bag (I recommend the quart-sized Stasher bag) or mason jar (quart-sized) for as many servings as desired. Store in the freezer for up to 3 months.
To serve: Pour all frozen ingredients into a blender and add milk and yogurt. Blend until smooth and serve with a straw.

This recipe can be made beforehand and stored in the freezer for up to 3 months.

Apples are rich in fiber, vitamin C, vitamin B6 and antioxidants.
Bananas are packed with antioxidants. folate, vitamin B6, vitamin C, and potassium which support the nervous system, skin health, iron absorption, and blood pressure.
Peanuts are a great source of protein, healthy fats, fiber, and antioxidants.
Spinach is high in vitamin C and iron.
Acai is rich in antioxidants and fiber. It also contains calcium, iron, zinc, and vitamin B6.

As a bonus, these smoothies can be made ahead of time and prepped within minutes when ready to eat, which can be critical especially during those busy days caring after a newborn.
